Herder laments after cows in Ogun were struck by mysterious lightning, saying, “They are my only source of livelihood.”

In Osara, a village in the Obantoko area of Abeokuta, in the Odeda Local Government area of Ogun State, a herder and father of six named Abdullahi Idris had a terrible Saturday after losing roughly thirty-two cows to lightning strikes.

It began with the ominous cloud and progressed to the wind’s constant whistle. Everyone thought the rain was typical, especially since it is the rainy season.
