IVD Arrested at Lagos Airport Over Ongoing Domestic Violence Case

Nigerian celebrity and auto dealer Ikechukwu Ogbonna, widely known as IVD, was arrested on August 1, 2025, at Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, over a lingering domestic violence case tied to the tragic death of his wife, Bimbo Ogbonna.

According to reports, IVD was attempting to board a flight to Qatar when security operatives from the Lagos State Directorate of Public Prosecutions intercepted and detained him. His arrest is directly related to the October 2022 incident that led to Bimbo’s death under controversial circumstances.
