Panel Suspends Medical Director, Two Doctors Over Chimamanda Adichie’s Son’s Death

A Medical and Dental Practitioners Investigation Panel has suspended three senior medical professionals following the tragic death of the son of renowned Nigerian author Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie.

According to a report by Daily Post Nigeria, the panel ordered the suspension of Dr. Tunde Majekodunmi, Medical Director of Euracare Multi-Specialist Hospital; Dr. Titus Ogundare, an anaesthesiologist; and Dr. Atinuke Uwajeh, Chief Medical Officer of Atlantis Pediatric Hospital.

The disciplinary action follows preliminary findings of alleged medical negligence and professional misconduct in connection with the death of Adichie’s 21-month-old son.
