In a recent statement, the “Elon Musk” crooner revealed that he faced rejection and humiliation from several artists during his journey to fame, claiming that many in the industry “poured spit on my face.”
According to Shallipopi, the comment was a metaphor describing how he was looked down on, disrespected, and denied opportunities when he was still trying to break into the mainstream.
The singer explained that those experiences only made him stronger and more determined to succeed, adding that he never allowed negativity to stop his grind.
On his X handle, the singer wrote, “2023/2024 many artist pour me spit for face…. I mean manyyyyyy, that’s why I’m extra mean, ogun go kill of una one by one as time dey go.”
