Tems Starts the Premier Vibe Campaign to Support African Music’s Female Artists.
Tems, a Grammy-winning singer-songwriter from Nigeria, is expanding her impact outside of the stage by launching The Leading Vibe Initiative, a ground-breaking platform that aims to empower, support, and elevate women in music throughout Africa.
The initiative, which was announced earlier this week, will begin in Lagos in August and is a major step in Tems’ ongoing effort to shift the perception of women in the African music industry. Well-known for her fearless authenticity, soulful voice, and boundary-pushing success, Tems is now leveraging her platform to help other women succeed.
Emerging and mid-level women musicians, producers, songwriters, and music executives will be the focus of the Leading Vibe Initiative, which will act as a center for visibility, education, creative collaboration, and mentoring.
Through artist development programs, curated sessions, and workshops, the platform seeks to close the gender gap and promote the long-term success of African women musicians.
